I like it Mahjqa. Animation's very smooth and the detail is great. You truley are one of the people that sets the standards bar around here.

I agree with you about your name being in the beam but I'm not sure if it would be legible on the base. How about a picture of yourself as a mugshot or a wanted poster in the beam ?

Better? It's a bit off-balance, but it's the best I could think of right now.

Howsabout having the letters "behind" the lamp, so they are lit up as it sweeps across them at the back half of the rotation ??

If I may say, though, I much prefer the first one. It has a bit more sense of depth to it.

The wall is a nice idea, but the 'bricks' look rather claylike and the closeness of the wall makes it feel odd when it suddenly disappears...kinda like 'whoa, closeup' then it's gone.

The first one leves the name a bit more abstract, and it just feel s much better, IMHO =)

Aargh. Why do you have to make everything so hard? Meh, I don't like the first one because of the lameness of the effect (of my name). Meh, I'm gonna try some more things (like zooming out from the wall) but if that's doesn't work, I'm sticking with this one.

Also.. how can there be more depth in the first one if there actually is none?

Better? at least the closeness to the wall-thing should be solved... or not.

I really like the graffiti on the wall one.

I'm going to be irritating here and say: That's not how police lights work. A mirror inside spins around a fixed light or strobe... not the entire housing. Maybe they did once but I'm pretty sure your standard flasher is a spinning mirror.

That my only issue and only cause I'm an irritating perfectionist. If I'm wrong let me know... I learn fast.

[EDIT]As I watch it... it may well be only the insde that's spinning... I guess the effect isn't quite as pronounced as I... well... would expect. Meh. Nevermind me...[/EDIT]

it looks like a mirrored unit spinnin around inside a plastic casing to me.

Gd; if you look closely, you'll see that only the inside mechanism rotates, the plastic casing remains static.

The first one is great!
The new one is ugly, sorry man. I mean, it looks like it took lots of skill, sure, but it's just not as pretty as the original.

They both look pretty sweet, but the second one feels, I dunno, "cluttered".

I like the second one better. However, the constant rotation of that light is really annoying... If you'd made it slower I'd really like it a lot more. I know that the alarm/siren lights don't rotate that slow, but I think it would make your sig look better .
