I guess I'm really looking for some motivation after spending so many hours in photoshop with rendered clouds, spherising and other various filters I feel like I've wasted a lot of time. |

vpStein: Why not avoid the problem of making a 'realistic' cartoon moon (if that is even possible?) and go for a more cartoonlike feel - half moon with the man in the moons face possibly? |

I really wish I had PS on this machine so I could illustrate what I'm talking about pictorally but here goes. |

docilebob, that moon is sweet! I like the bandana he's wearing. I think I'm needing a full moon though (hey now!) if you look at the table pic I linked at the top of the thread ( Sci-Fi Pinball ), the simple gray moon that exists there now is to be replaced with my new, more cartoonish, moon. The pic will be somewhat in the distance and so finer deatils get lost. A half moon unfortunately doesn't work that pic is so cool tho I had to try it in the table just to see what it looked like |

well...try it out with the moon your friend made...I like that one...from a distance (and possibly if it was cel-shaded) it'd look good on that table I think. |
