Topic: My site - reviews (Page 1 of 1)

Hi,
After reading many messages here, I decided to ask for reviews even though my site doesn't have any moving part, the top menu (full of javascript code) was not written by me and no special Photoshop picture either, but since you guys are honestly critical (what is really good), and since I'm no professional at all, I'd like to hear from you.

And, there are two kinds of tutorial pages: the green and the blue. Here are two samples:

Well I just have time to look at the main page right now and I see a few things.

One is the colors. I am not sure that the colors says "Medal of Honor: Allied Assault".
The menu looks like Brother Cake, right? Great menu bar. I am just going to go throught the main page from top to bottom.

There is no "Logo" and that kind of makes it weird. You don't have to have anything great just something that says "MY PAGE" Know what I mean?

The top graphic: "Walkthroughs, Tips, . . . " the beveling is not right. It comes off of the page way too much to me. The white at the top is a little too much.

The "Topics Currently Available" is too wide and seems that that is the main part of the site which to me it would be the middle part which is way to thin and the font is too small for my taste.

That's all I have noticed right now. I just really don't like the colors. I would like it to be a little more "dirty" if you know what I mean. It's a "war-like" game right? Incorporate that into the page. Right now, the colors tend to be more like a kiddy game more than a war type game.

I think also it's a clean page. That's how I usually think about my "designs": clean. To think dirty it takes some imagination which lacks on me.
Well, for now, I have already made the top white part of the main page a little smaller. And I've also decreased the font size of "Topics Currently Available".
As for the colors, I started using purple because of the first strip I used from the Mohaa fan kit. It was purplish so I stuck to the color. After some time, I added the News column and then I chose pink, to match the purple (so I think). Personally, I like the combination.
The logo, I had already thought about having one, but since no good idea popped up into my mind, I gave it up. It had to be something about the game but also about guides, because guides (for Mohaa) is what my site is all about. I even thought about registering the domain mohaaguides.
About the main Title, I'll try to think about something better.
Finally, about the "dirty" look, I'm starting to think about how to dirty the main page. It would be necessary to start it over, from the scratch. My wife said to me that I should throw some blood all around the page, to make it dirty :-)

About the logo, you could always use the "mohaaguides" and put it in the manner of the Medal of Honor logo. You know, make it look metal or something. Maybe

Yes, it does make sense.
I'm reading some tutorials to learn how to do that.
In the meantime, I'm just playing with the "logo" and the main page.
