Just kidding. The front page did have me a bit confused, though. It just doesn't seem like there's anything holding it together, you know--no cohesiveness. A bunch of design elements that went on a three-hour tour and got stranded on this uncharted web page. It also took me a little while to figure out what was clickable and what wasn't. People look at the top of a website first, and I was mousing over the orange text ("graphic design" and "web, flash, print") trying to figure out why I couldn't click on them. It was only after that that I saw the buttons on the bottom. I would just flip the top and the bottom, for starters. Oh yeah, the rotating ball thingy threw me off, too. I would have thought for sure it would be clickable.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you've got five different fonts going there (maybe six if you count that word--is it "hype"?--half hidden in the center). You might be able to get away with four of them, but the comic sans style one (I'm not a font expert, so I don't know what font that is exactly, but it looks like a comic sans-type thing--the one you used for "HOME" and the orange text at the top) just doesn't seem to fit.

OK, first off, scrap the lower case "i" and "freebeez"--they make you look unprofessional. Secondly, technical stuff aside, I'm not sure if this is the sort of copy you want on your front page. The whole tone of it just doesn't seem that professional to me, especially the part about doing freebies. I'm not in the web design business, but I would imagine that saying on your front page that you do freebies is probably a no-no.

I'm assuming from what I've seen that you don't have much content up yet (at least, I couldn't find any). Honestly, I don't have all that much of a problem with the fact that it's Flash. I think Flash can be a very useful tool. The points I made above, in fact, have nothing to do with Flash.

Like I said, I'm not in the web design business, so if what I said can help you in some way, use it. If not, then don't mind me.

what you state suhu is conventional ..... the same font.all around Zzzzzzzzzzz... and actually you are also correct about cohesivness to me also ZZZZzzzzzzz....* but yes you have a point about persons wanting to click on the text at the top ect...... i should move that to the empty areas of the center (prymaid shaped wrap for the square interface )( and some sort of half circle wrap for the balls) where the comic font iz ( i thought of that wile i was watching dr givago)--- oh by the way its dammed architect(the font) ........about the saying freebeezzzzzzzz im a graphic design student at the moment and ive been asked to do free sometimes...... it helps to build my portfolio.... but i supose i can concoct a snappy slogan....

the internal interface isnt done yet the boxz and balls.... i need to come with two other forms like ??? pryamids and clynders mebby????? im learning how to comp things at school at the moment but yer right about the three hour tour _L........

im going radical with my personal site i can show off sleek pages ive done this is me though but i will def fix the top text.........and nix the freebeez part mebby a prose piece i wrote ---eh?

About the font, I definitely don't think you should go for the same font all around. But I think that many fonts is pushing it. If you like it, though, keep it.

I understand that you would do freebies to build your portfolio, I'm just not sure if it's something you should put right on your front page. You could always let people know if they contact you and ask you about it. Yeah, a snappy slogan would probably be good there.

Why would I want to click on the ball? That's a good question. Actually, I'm not sure if I wanted to click on it so much as I just wanted to look at it. What I mean is that it's the only thing moving on the page (after your title animation finishes), and the eye is kind of drawn to it. The only problem is that there's nothing there, just the ball. Does that make sense? Maybe if it was next to the menu or something...

Oh, and just to let you know, posts are almost never deleted around here. They may be edited by a MS or Psychotic if they contain offensive material, but I know they don't like to actually delete posts. Something about maintaining the continuity of the thread. Or maybe it was the space-time continuum.

Now just relax, take a deep breath, and we'll get you your meds as soon as possible.

Arr, mel, the EDIT button is to fix things remember Heh...

And if you want to link an image use : <img>http://www.your.url.img.file</img> only replace the '<' & '>' characters with '[' & ']' respectively.

Ok, comments on the site:

I'll give ya an A for effort but it's all a little too much I think. Try making it simpler. Then you can build in layers of complexity if you think their needed.

I noticed . I may live in Korea, but that doesn't necessarily mean I was born here (common mistake people make). I was actually an English major in university, too.

Uhmmmm...., I've looked up in the dictionary for the meaning of "i" and it cannot definitely be used as a pronoun... This is ugly printing for my eyes and I'm not even a native english speaking guy.

mel: I've deleted those multiple posts. A general point about convention - things are conventional for a few reasons:

1. They are known to work.

2. Users expect it.

You have movement in a page to attaract people's attention to it and if their attention is being drawn to an element then people expect it to be clickable.

The same goes for Suho1004's point about different fonts.

Anyway your site is an definite improvement on the previous designs some points:

1. What does the 'enter' button do other than make an odd bar appear?

2. When I click on Flash I get 3 spheres but there is no indication of what they do or anything.

3. The print page's navigation (and that on the misc page) is pretty strange.

Overall it looks better than before but the navigation is even more baffling. I know its not finished but... This is your portfolio site which should make it simple and easy for people to find your stuff. All you will succeed in doing is mystifying potential clients.

Things will improve once you've got more content in and settle on a system of navigation but you might be better of having this kind of interface on a 'play' site rather than one designed for business but that is just my opinion.

enter button? Emps ....says intro ......im going to make an intro movie ......i was just laying out the dimensions of the intro movie... load movie.

.... about the balls and squares navagation... tis not done yet i will have a floating arrow eventually moving over them and key frame with text telling peoples what the orbs are............. the text the text..i like the font - however mebby i could move it to the space below the main buttons with a line pointing to the corrisponding button in a cell and tab deal... .....

mel: Simple answer yes - I've just had another look and it isn't clear. Some other points:

1. The home and links mouseover colour isn't a good one - try for something in gold.

2. I like your intro (although lets have a button to toggle the sound on and off if that is possible - I'm listening to music and I'm sure other people are or are in offices where it is not the best thing to have music blaring out) but you overuse the fact that you aren't actually constrined by the box. Things are lying all other place and it might be best to save it for a few specific elements to suprise people and catch their attention. You are dealing with an audience with a very jaded pallette so don't give away all your best tricks cheaply.
