I doubt any of you remember the last version of my site, but I've rebuilt the backend completely and given it a completely new design.. so basically everything but the database was rebuilt. Its now integrated with my forums for logging etc..

It was a really quick design and I have some issues with it myself, but want to hear any comments you guys have

Thanks!

I like this little site! Off course, I'm prejudiced, I happen to *love* the little minis, they are the cutest little cars! I'd say the entry page to the portal is very effective, it's interesting to look at graphically, yet has a lot of information displayed right off the bat. The contrast is a little weak on that main image, but that might change over time? I'd assume you'd cycle in the newest, nicest images as you get them in that spot.

The text/folder links on the interior pages work, but I feel they could maybe be a bit more interesting, maybe some simple CSS flourishes to make things stand out a bit more. That's where I'd put most of my efforts now if this was my web.

since less than 0.5% of my visitors (probably much less!) us NN4.x, it's not an issue.

Nice!

Maybe you could decrease the width of the left side (the Top Mini Links etc). As it is now only the picture need all of the space allocated. If you decrease the width you will also have more space for the content...

You should add a DOCTYPE. To get the site xhtml compilant you have to add a closing / to the img, meta, link tags.

thanks Veneficuz and Grumble I moved the "poered by" images to the about page which seems much more appropriate, and decreased the width of the left column on the homepage by 90px. works nice I'll work on the other stuff too...

oh hey... now I get what yuor saying Doc.. musta been spaced out last night while reading your post...

now its crystal clear will get on that

[edit] Now the 3 feature links (wallpaper, variants, tips & tricks) at the top of the homepage don't use enough of the space up there.. i'll add another or something [/edit]

thanks all

MINI!!!!!!!

I remember this site! Boy it has changed!

I like the site. The front page is layed out nicely. Not too much, not too little. I like the "Hot Wheels"esqe log you have there. Cool

The only thing that I would consider is this. When you go to the "Classic Mini" "How to Buy", you have 6 entires, OK. Now, when I click on the first one and read that, and want to go to the second one, I can't. I have to go back to the first screen then click the second link. Waist of time. Can you simply put a "Next" or whatever to do this for me. I'm lazy.

But, like the Doc said, I would add something to the "Text" pad and "Folder" icons. Don't know what really but something.

On a different note. My fiancee is really on to me about buying one of these for her. Bad thing, there is a about a 1 year wait on them. Have to put down a $1000.00 to order the one you want and then it takes about a year to get it. BUMMER!

Good job though.
