my site is basicly about the stuff i do for like web-design and image making, i do not claim to be an expert but i want a real opion , on my site, please rate it from 1 - 10 , 1 being worst 10 being best please give comments on what could be fixed, also please give comments about my artwork done in the portfolio

First impression: unnecessary splash page. Not only does it serve no purpose, it's also difficult to figure out exactly how to get into the site. Admittedly, the arrows help one figure that out, but you should still remove the splash page.

Ooooh. I see why you have a splash page: popup. Popups are a no-no. Especially non-resizeable popups; the page doesn't fit in it perfectly for me, so I get scrollbars, and I'm unable to resize the window to fix that.

The first page I see has no content on it. That's two pages so far without any real text. Choose which part of your site is the most important (probably "news") and make sure that when I go to your site, that's the *very* first thing I see: no splash page, no intermediate page.

Oh, goodness, *another* popup! Bad idea. You should never have one popup, let alone multiple popups. Use regular HTML hyperlinks, not these javascript popups.

The background image behind the text on your "news" page is too busy to read the text over. The contrast in that background image needs to be reduced.

You should check your spelling and consider whether you want this "tone" in your writing if you're planning on using this site professionally.

So. Overall? I give it a 6 or 7 on style (the images are decent, I sort of like the background when it's not covered with text), and a 2 or 3 on design and useability. The number one issue that you should focus on first, IMO, is the popups. Make regular HTML pages that fit in a browser window; you should be able to do this without having to recreate too many images. The HTML will need tweaking in the process, though.

Heh, all that said, I just noticed your age, and that makes me think you did pretty well, knowing it's probably [one of] your first sites.

hey slime if you get a chance can you give me some comments on the art in the portfolio , oh yea thx for the tips i will get rid of the pop-up windows soon, or maybe just make another design..

Heh, I clicked on the link before I read your post NoJive. I must say that I completely concur with Drac. While Slime may be a great guy, and he's got lots of good things to say, you never base design decisions on the opinion of one person.

Also, it's kind of, well, rude to post a site for review and then take it down again. If you want to make changes, make them, but at least leave the original site up so the inmates here have something to review.

And for that matter, Slime was very gentle with you... what's this about getting torn a new anal orifice?

My rating is a sad dismal 3.

[1] Your banner graphics are a bit too amatuer looking, the top one looks stretched and pixelated it also tiles.

[2] The bottom graphic has a piece missing just below the IFRAMES scroll bar.

[3] The navigation is needs a face lift, fair enough it does its job, but it is a design website and i think displaying what you can do is really important not only in your portfolio but also the site as a whole.

[4] The Navigation font is a bit too over the top, the areas above the navigation and the affiliates area look so so, well rubbish, it seems that you have run out of your inspiration while completing these parts, I also think naming the section other navigation is a bit piss.

[5] Oh I've just realised why the bottom graphic has a piece missing, infact i clicked on portfolio and noticed that there are now 2 pieces missing, why why??, your IFRAME area is to big to be contained in the choosen area.

[6] Woohoo i just found out why its all broke up to, why, because i was going to crush your marquee, but after reading it. This site must be viewed in 800x600 resolution to not break up, its really wuite easy to make your site suit all resolutions, i think mahjqa, stated that having that is like tellin people not to view your site if they don't match these requirements.

[7] Having shitty comments beside your hyperlinks is seriously a bit amatuer too, these i have found in the portfolio area beside the past graphics entries, eg: Spin Something - OMFG GTFO niiiiiccccee.

funny enough these are what i found from the first page and on portfolio selection. 3/10.
