Yes, it's true, there's finally more there than that obnoxious green page. Actually, the hiatus had another purpose besides satiating my laziness. Several of my old students from when I was a teacher had found my page and I figured by waiting a while they might lose interest. We'll see if that worked.

Anyway, I'd appreciate details of any breakages in other browsers. It shouldn't break too badly though, it's a pretty simple layout. I might have forgotten to close a tag here or there though.

Very nice. I've actually been waiting for your site to come back; this added a little sunshine to my day.

No breakage here (Win XP/IE 6, NN6, Opera 6), but there is a funny white bar running down the right-hand side of where the shout box comes out. Nothing serious, and I wouldn't have even noticed it had I not compared the site in three different browsers.

Speaking of the shout box (that is what you call those things, right?), I didn't notice it at first (yes, even with the "CLICK ME" text...). You might want to make it a bit more conspicuous, or at least label it. I'm not sure why you have it hidden, but I suppose that's personal preference. (I also just noticed this, from the main text: "you can dribble over there on the right." Is that supposed to refer to the shout box, or was there something that I missed?)

Overall, I think it's quite nice. Simple, elegant.

I noticed that last night too but that was after I'd been working all day and was just too tired to bother. I'll get it worked into the design better soon.

That little toy is called dribble and it was created by Weadah. It's a pretty cool toy really. It's a Flash file that uses a bit of PHP to store the dribbles. It's a tiny file but is very cool.

I just wanted to say thank you for the simple elegance of your site. My eyes usually hurt after a day of being online, simply because of being assaulted by so much colour, animation, and horrible design. Your site is like having a nice cup of tea with friends after a day of loud traffic outside my window.

Is there any way to make your image gallery match the design of the other main pages? I prefer the colour and layout of your home page to that one (more contrast and cleaner, IMHO).

Either way, it's a nice place to visit

That's one of the next things inline. I need to get my gallery and the verbose page to match the front page design.

With gallery (it's a set of PHP scripts) I'll have to find the exact file that builds the pages so I can modify the html template.

Thanks for the kind words. That's one thing I wanted to do was to keep things simple and easy to read since that will be the whole point of the site; not to blast myself everyday I look at it with some crazy color scheme or funky Flash toys.

Hmmmm, looks like it's not recognized the height attribute on the top cell of the table that guides the page.

I'm going to convert this to a CSS layout soon anyway so I may or may not work on that issue. At least you can still read all the content....
