I do know a bit about "old school effects," but only on the receiving end. However, I find your argument to be fundamentally flawed. First of all, who said we were trying to offend you? I, for one, wasn't. Second, why [b]should[/b] I show you any of my productions? Who came in here asking for a review? If you weren't prepared for possibly harsh reviews, why did you post? But the thing that bothers me the most is the thinking behind that statement. Basically, what you are saying is that we have no right to criticize your work because we do not code old school demos. Now, let's set aside the facts that some of us [b]do[/b] code demos, etc. (InI, for example), and saying that we don't know "anything" about coding is merely a blind, unfounded, sweeping grasp in the dark. That's not important right now. What is important is that you believe someone must be directly involved in a craft in order to be able to criticize that craft. Do you believe that only novelists can be good judges of novels? Or that only painters can appreciate a good painting? If you do, then you are what is called a "snob." So, I'll ask you again: if you didn't come here to hear criticism, why did you come here? Your first post explicitly said "Any comments are welcome!" Well, apparently they are not. True, some of us may have come across a bit harsh--and some of us have apologized. I do not feel the need, however, to apologize for this post. You obviously have no respect for the people here, and you think you can just ride in here on your high horse and lord your dazzling brilliance over us mere peasants. If that's what you need to think to make you feel better about yourself, than by all means continue as you were. I, however, am finished with you and this thread. Loading...
