This site is just a test of what I could do using Dreamweaver and not really ment to be much of anything. I'm working to get something different on the rollover buttons when I find time today.

Wow. Ouch.

Not really meant to be anything? Well, you succeeded in your goal.

1. Splash screens are bad mmmmkay?

2. All of your elements are detached from each other. There's nothing holding them together. No continuity.

3. Geeeesh. Just geeeesh.

4. "Mystery meat" navigation is bad mmmmmkay?

5. Font bad! Bad!

Shall I go on?

What krets said.

But I would like to add: why are you asking for a review on this? You said, "This site is just a test of what I could do using Dreamweaver and not really ment to be much of anything." If it's just playing around, you don't need a review, do you?

At any rate, I think this site is a very good example of what happens when you don't have clearly defined design goals and just start playing around with bells and whistles.

Don't try this at home, kids.

Yup yup, I agree with krets too. But I wanted to add a couple of things....

150k wasted on content for a splash page that I'll only ever see once. I've built entire sites under 150k before. Compression is your friend, learn to use it. I was download some updated manuals for a program I recently forked out for whilst your page was loading and well, at half 56k bandwidth, it took about a minuite to load that spalsh image.

Oh and try and find a webhost that won't insert content before the opening <html> tag. That's just bad form. Using dreamweaver can also be bad form, if you don't know what your doing at least. If this is just a hobby then I wouldn't worry too much about that but if your serious about learning how to create web pages then I recommend you learn how to code HTML by hand and use CSS to layout your pages.

Appart form that, the colours weren't too bad -- a little bright and garish for my tastes but you maintained them well across the pages.
