Hello,

Well, I've redesigned my photography and photo news site, built on PHP-Nuke as a CMS. I am still trying to build some basic Flash galleries for hosting professional photo stories, but much of the rest is online.

If people are interested in pro and consumer digital cameras, there are also forums for that sort of thing. There's also a chat room for live chat, which I think is a really nice feature.

On a quick glance through that's well done, everything was where I expected it to be and readable, accessible, got the beginnings of a nice service/site/community there.

It still looks really nukey and a little piecemeal but I've seen much worse in nukes. I'd just be working on the continuity of the overall graphic design some more (like the xp icons, forum skin graphics[color], category graphics etc) to unify things. I'm not real fond of the white links/text on the light background, try to find a darker accent color that goes good with the brown but will still differentiate from the regular brown text. Not real fond of the 'pixel font' on the link bar across the top either come to think of it. I could nitpick all day, I'll let someone else do that

I don't really care for the white text, either, (I'll see if I can tweak the style sheet some more) and the topic icons *do* need improving (but hard to create all new icons from complete scratch, though I did make some - I didn't want it to be just text). I'm going to work on the white text, but it was something of a compromise. The pixel font isn't a biggie - that will be easy to change.

Well, I added a chat feature (FlashChat) and I changed the text around a little bit, so the styles are more friendly to the eyes....

I still have to work on some of the graphics, but the usability is there.

OK, I redid the header graphic, added the FlashChat feature, changed the styles to make the text links easier to read, etc...
