I'm not a whiz when it comes to website design, basically I don't even read the code, I just use design view in Dreamweaver to update my website. But I'm encountering an error that is simply above my head to solve and was wondering if anyone can help me figure out why it's occuring. When browsing to my site (http://www.rita.LT) this error shows up at the top of the page: [an error occurred while processing this directive]. I have recieved some tips that this is a javascript error, but I don't know what to do about it or what/where the fault is. Other than that error being visible, there are no missing links on the page, and everything functions properly. Can anyone help me pin it down? It would be much appreciated...

Don't know what specifically is causing the error, but that kind of error comes from server-side processing, not javascript.
You need to lok at whatever server-side code is involved in generating the page.

More specifically, it sounds like an error caused by SSI (server side includes).

It would mean that whatever info the SSI is trying to include can't be found by the server. This could mean a missing file on your domain, or a setting on your server conflicting with the intent of the command.

Need more info though...

Thanks for the quick replies. I wish I could give you more info, i.e. I wish I was code literate. So could this be a conflict between the server provider and what's on my site (the server isn't mine). I know I can't copy and paste all of the code here (I wish I could), 'cause it would be endless, but here's the header, I don't know if that will tell you anything, and even if it doesn't, I really appreciate the replies.

THANK YOU so much for all your help, I finally found the culprit with the help of a few other friends! It was this:

<!--#exec cgi="/cgi-bin/stats/stat.cgi" -->

Thanks again for the replies and putting me on the right track, I would have continued to think it was a javascript error if not for you!
