Topic: can anyone get this? (Page 1 of 1)

I'm messing with a new Windows Media CODEC and was wondering if anyone could get this file to stream... I'm certain you're not gonna get a steady stream with a dialer but was wondering if anyone else is able?

The file: WinMedia8 av1400

There's not much documentation with the codec, it's a command prompt utility for now, so I appreciate anyone that can give it a try and tell me their connection speed and success/failure story.

I'm on a cable modem and it streamed flawlessly.

cool! I had another friend on cable that got it fine as well. I was checking our line at work, it would not come through at work, network traffic I guess.

EF: that girl is the daughter of the 8 foot giant on the left, who happens to be in the office *right* next to me... thus the blurring. I've decided that there's entirely too much drinking involved in the game of golf.

OK, first of all it worked fine for me on a DSL connection.

and they're not even good. I was just there to film but someone didn't show and they made me play. The shooting was done by the fella driving the beer cart. He was obviously drunk.

I`m on a 56K, connected at 53,333bps, and all I got to see was a blurry tree.

The buffer rate was strange, tho. It would jump all over the place, ...3%>>7%>>2%>>
12%>>29%>>0%>>34%>>3%>>42%...

This went on for about 14 min., and I started nodding off, so I gave up.

[edit] oh yeah, cable.... sound was perfect the whole way through, the video got stuck twice... mostly real clear, but it went to... uhmmm... kinda like grainy horizontal line ish.... but you could still see what it was...ok, shutting up now [/edit]
