Thanks guys! I will definately keep you posted to new developments. The reason it looks like I have always left is that the text file that holds the iteration information doesn't get totally erased; the last person that left in the room will have their "so-and-so left the room" text in the file. There's probably a better way to program it, but I haven't figured it out yet. Steve: Yep, it's like that. In theory, a PHP/FLASH chat is fairly simple. I did an ASP/FLASH chat that was very similar except that in ASP you can use application level variables instead of text files to hold the iteration data (you could do the same with JSP). I found out, however, due to PHP being SOOO fast, using the text files gave better performance. I have another question: How are you connecting to the chat? Modem? Cable? DSL? I was just curious as how it worked on slower connections. ::-:: j ::-::
