you need to be sure you have a stop action on that key frame (unless its just one frame movie)where your movie clip is(on main stage)..... also you dont need a play action on firstframe of movie clip...... also make sure you have enough frames on the main stage to cover your assests (so to speak).......... |

I don't know what you mean by "play a gif". If you want an animated gif to play in Flash, it isn't going to happen. Put the animated gif in the html and the the browser play it. |

if you have an animated gif you want to bring into a flash movie i'd use something like imageready and save out each frame individually then import each of those. importing an animated gif won't work in flash. |

ahhhaa i have flash5_ like i says create a movie clip.... then import your gif....... and presto...... it werks it works fine fer me....=) |
