This is an intro credit sequence for some stuff I'm doing for school.

It weighs in at around 90k but by the time I fill it with text it should be spaced out enough to stream most of it on a 56k connection.

This flash thing is kinda cool. Never really got stuck into it before now.

Dracusis: Very good (and your first play in Flash?? Damn). My only major thoughts are that rather than have the planet fade in I'd have it move up from off the bottom of the screen and that the flare of the rising sun could do with being a little slower and less glarey.

However, I think it is great as it is

No, this is 4. 3 to go after this, but two of them are just essays, I can do them in my sleep (or lack there of). Oh and 4 ain't even close to being finished.

I've done about 10+ hours of other Photoshop work for the flash thing too. It's gotta be big and cool, which mean's I'll hate it by the time it's done cause it'll be all bloated and broadband only like. I've gone over the numbers and it's already hit 2 Meg. Dang it.

Oh and this isn't really my first go at flash. I had a bit of a play with Flash 4 back in 99/00 but Flash MX is completly different. Better, but still different.

As for using PNG images, the file sizes matters, 20k vs 100k. Not kidding. There's 8 full size Jpeg images in that 90k movie. I can live with the compression errors given the alternative, circa 700k with PNG's.

The star animation. Eh, I like it. And I have 14 hours to finish this whole thing, so I'm not gonna change it now.

InI: I didn't mention "moving stars" (the planet moving in from below wouldn't involve the stars moving - they tend not to at that kind of scale) or in fact your point a) - so we don't disagree at all - which is good
