Topic: Streaming give-away? (Page 1 of 1)

OK, so I've reached a point whereby I wish to whack some streaming video on my site (at the moment, I have .mov files, which are large and don't stream).

The new work is fairly precious to me and I want people to see it via a stream, but not download/save it.

Question is... can they?

Sorry if that sounds newbish, but I've never forraged into streaming media before, and although research suggests that you can't save the files (hence the popularity by 'media sites'), I was hoping for a second opinion, and where better to ask than the loony bin?

and mov files should be able to stream if the user has the quicktime plug-in.

Anyways - the major concern is, can they download/save my stuff if I stream it?

there are tools that can download save streams to a data sink (a file). afaik, theres no way to avoid that.

*Mutters something about no security anywhere thesedays*
Ah well - I suppose I can live with that.
