umm I dunno but it seems that I can not save my flash files as .swf....maybe I dont have that format...if so where can I find it????

I really dont know much about this video stuff...after I make a flash animation, what are the possibilities to save? what are the pros and cons of diffrent formats? which are better/worse???

do you have the latest flash plug-in installed? you might reinstall it to associate it correctly, on a pc if its not associated with anything find macromedia player 6.0 from the list of programs and just have it always open with that program.
