well i've been messing around with 3dS for about a year now, so i thought it time to turn my hand to making a character. so instead of sitting and sketching what i wanted her to look like i just grabbed me a tutorial and sat down to work. may have been a mistake. anyway i've got the mesh for the front of the face done but its just not right. i thought i'd just export the mesh so people could try it themselves and see how it looks, its a 3ds file or a dxf file im afraid. if this isn't gonna work i'll make a site and run up some screen shots.
I think maybe some kinda 3d references would help me like a head.

Dxf file

3ds file

Thanks for the help guys.

I'm getting 404 on both links. I tried some obvious variations, but nothing.

Duh! Got it.

Yeah, I really think you need a profile and front for reference while modeling.

well i've got some scanned photos set up for side and front profiles. but i dunno its kinda hard to take two 2d images and interpolate the whole thing into 3d. this is the first head i've done and i figured its best to sorta close the whole thing up first, then try and shape it once all the mesh is there. should i be working to get things right while the mesh is still open?
