Trying to get into 3D I am. Which 3D program to use? Which is best? Easiest to learn? Most Marketable? 3DSMax? Lwave? Maya? I ask. Personal Preferences feel free to post.

A lot of people say blender has a weird interface so read the tutorials if you try it.

pov-ray probably isn't what you would think of for a 3d program. It isn't a modeler. You type a scene and it renders it.

Well, if you are just getting into 3D then don't buy anything, as you might find out you hate it. Get some free software and play with it for a month or two, then if you still like it then make the plunge into your wallet and get something.

Strata is free http://www.strata.com/ as is povray and blender that EVILCLOWN just said.

Remember, its just a tool. So if you get good at some free software others may look down at you and say 'well, you don't know 3dmax so you wont get a job.' but they are full of it. Remember, if you are good, people will throw money at you, and you can learn any 3D package.... Just start with something and go from there.
