Well, POV-Ray isn't a modeller, just a renderer, really. People often use other programs to generate meshes or 2D textures. |

Ah, I see. Yup, POV-Ray is open source (well, they allow people to change it and recompile if credit is given to them), so there are a bunch of non-official versions, the most popular being MegaPOV, which POV-Ray 3.5 was mostly based on. I usually stick to the official version. |

Hmm, I've never really looked into it. I'm willing to bet it's the same as official version 3.1 with some lighting enhancements of some sort. Let me see if I can find it's web page... |

It is. I'm pretty sure if you change the POV-Ray source code, you're not allowed to make money off it. |
