The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.

Good stuff! Like it. Didn't know you could do that kinda stuff with poser. Thought you ended up with a model that you had to put textures on. (if that made any sense?*&%)

the models are zygotes but ya can edit the mesh files kinda like programming its wierd....textures are template based so ya can create ya own by painting within the wireframes that are flattened out

poser 4 especially with the pro pak installed allows you to animate using bones etc and can export models meshed to max and from max....

i quite often export the whole thing to max or bryce 5 to render...but i am only tinkering with poser at the moment...i can modify old props costumes etc to fit the later models but still at the early stage of modelling for it...but it supports a wide rande of 3d formats....will post some more stuff in the next few days...as an experimet i am going to try and recreate a short anim completelty within poser based on LOTR...but i am struggling on a p4 1.7 with a gig of ram on board....the skin texture on the orc 4000*4000 pixels alone..then theres the head propc background scenery (models) and that took ages.....well it seemd like it....posers not up there with character studio and max but its good enough to produce some nice pics...but i am pushing the edge i think when i try this type of stuff....still trying to figure out if i can network render.....

anyway thanks for the input any more q's feel free to fire away

Definitely a breath of fresh air. I am so tired of folks using Poser 4 with no imagination or creativity. Pose, throw on clothes, render, and call it art (or something).

It's good to see a some heart and soul.

My only complant is the lighting. A bit too ambient for my tastes. Needs to be deeper, more menacing.

Maybe "XREF" in 3DS Max can solve some of your over-head problems. I don't know for sure because I've never used XREF objects or scenes.

LOL - I'm hairier than that!! Just because I don't post in here very often doesn't mean I'm not watching!!

tomeaglescz: Thats really nice stuff you are doing there - we are always looking for more 3D tutorials (this goes for anyone else) over at the GN - do you fancy doing something on using pure Poser like this? There appears to be a free demo:

would this be enough for people to follow the steps through?

This link was posted in the main forum but I might as well throw it in here too 9as it might answer some of the questions raised by InI):

well okies they say the poser demo has been retired so it looks like they threw everything into that link ya got there...

if i remember rightly the demo embeds some text into the renders you create with it, but should be enough to get to grips with

like i said let me know and i will put something together
