WOW! CALM DOWN! You've already shown me how great those CD's are...but really, they do do alot of stuffing around before they get to the point on the MAX one at least....and that does get kinda annoying. When do you expect the next MAX one so they can tell me some stuff I don't already know?

I take it then that the CD has alot of adds in it? I can live with that if the material is good just like to know.

no, not really, but they spend quite a while either introducing people, trying to rmember people's names, laughing, making jokes, generally stuffing around, before they actually et to the meat of the tute, and so they waste alot of valuable learning time and bore me to tears

I remember this site, one of our members posted an enthusiastic link to it, and it seemed, well, a little like spam! Turned out it was not though, and this guy Jason Busby is a teacher who's trying to do good things, just as we are here. I became a "Junior Member" there, and whenever their name pops up I spend a few minutes answering the questions I can, frequently linking back here or to the GN.

heh I would be the one guilty of the spamming

It's cool to see your name over there Doc. The Developer audience is pretty small over there right now, compared to the 3d users. My guess is that it'll grow as people interested in PHP find out about it.

Regarding the banter on the cds: Some people have been irritated by this but it doesn't bother me. If something is just presented in a technical fashion without any interaction I usually dose off. That's why I like my Gnomon videos for when I have trouble sleeping. Though there is alot of excellent material in the Gnomon videos, it is just so dry at times. Others like this.

PS Doc, When I was in school our instructor made extensive use of your site when we were studying JavaScript. Are you familar with Robert Ide from Ontario Canada? Anyways, that's how I was introduced to your site.
