Hello there,

I am new. I am also an idiot. I am also a human. I also like toast. Now, does anyone here use Amorphium Pro? Cuz that's what I use.

I played with Amorphium (not sure if it was Pro or not). Didn't like it much. Too hard to get the brush strokes fine enough.

Amorphium Pro is a cheezy program I bought cuz it was only $200. It's usable, but doesn't even measure up halfway to the capabilities of 3DSmax and all of those others. Oh yeah, and it doesn't taste like chicken, but I think I detected a bit of toasty flavoring in there.

http://www.amorphium.com/

The original was put out by Play (the makers of Snappy and such).

It's basically an app wrapped around what the Artisan tool did in Maya. You take a sphere or other simple 3D object (the original was limited to primitives, but this one seems more powerful), then you 'paint' bumps and grooves. It's like modelling with clay. The thing I didn't like was that the maps were too low a resolution, and you'd get aliasing on the shapes. That may have been fixed with the new version.

Edit - update. Appears they've added booleans and metaballs, among other things. They also have a free trial version.

Yes, I used to have the old one. It REEEEEAAAAALY sucked. The new one is much much more powerful, though.
