I've been playing with a demo of zbrush.
real time rendering....not sure i'd want
to keep it..but it certainly is lots of fun
anyone use it?

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.

Salut Ini

I think that would be a good description.
It does 2d as well of course. What i find
amazing is the real time rendering engine.
It's really fast on my old P3.

I don't know if i see it as a serious tool or not.
It's a blast to take a sphere brush for example
and just draw spheres....you can easily make
Bryce like scenes with it....

i've seen what the pros can do with it -- very
impressive...for me, just lots of fun!

the interface is supercool. it reminds me of
the stuff Kai Krause would do (anyone remember
SOAP? - not a very powerful app to say the least
but what kool depiction of tools..not this 1 bit crap
cursors).

I use ZB quite often.
It is not the easiest program to master - but it does pay off to be patient and it is a fun program to explore.
Version 1.5 will be out soon with some new tools.
The only bad thing about ZB is the fact that once you leave edit mode, your 3D model is rendered "flat" and can´t be rotated again. Hopefully that will change with later versions.
Positioning objects in a 3D space is not an easy task in ZB. I often model in ZB and export my model to a file that I can import in Bryce.

The ZBrush Central is a good place to visit if you need help or inspiration.
