Hi all.. just got Poser5 (yeah.. I hear the snickering) and I've been making my own models for it in Rhino.

Here is the breastplate and shoulders for a suit of armor that I'm making to fit Don (Poser5 default dude).

The texture was applied in Rhino as well. This is the "beat-to-hell-and-left-out-in-the-rain-to-die" texture.

Breastplate

Any C&C is appreciated.

web: Actually I love working with poser, I think it is alot of fun. (That is where I work with the poser animals... namely the wolf figure, like what I have in my sigs.) I think that the armor is really good, really convincing.

The only thing is if you are going to use the armor as decoration, I would fix the lower left side, back armhole. I see the seam around the armhole but that back edge looks real sharp with no seam.

Otherwise if it is to go on one of the poser figured then I would say good work!

hey no snickering from me....

nice work...

just two points...

1.as you look at the image check where the bottom seam move round the armour to the left hand side of the image and joins the seam running vertically... it doesnt match the opposite side, now if this is intentional that cool...

2.ya might want to mess around with the shoulder plates bump map, it looks too flat.

the main issue is number 1.

otherwise really nice work

Thanks for the crits..

I'm glad poser doesn't have the same stigma around here that it has developed on other communities.
I've been working on the "piping" around the edge curves.. blending them into each other and using fillet surfacing to smooth the transitions.

I'm not satisfied with the shoulders texture at all.. I agree that needs a lot of work to enhance them.

Thanks again.
