Topic awaiting preservation: apache & session_start (Page 1 of 1)

Everytime i try to use session_start() apache crashes and i get an error. Anybody knows how to fix this?

I tried apache_1.3.24, apache_1.3.23.
Using WinXP Pro.

I tried the new release apache_2.0.35, but i don't know how to get this to work with PHP? Any sources?

i havent tried apache2 neither yet. but is it so much different?

I forgot to set the session.save_path .
