Would you have time to read this?

I am reserching for my own interests about database system. I am trying to understand why a lot of people here use MySQL. I found an easy-understanding article here.

That is sounds fantastic to me.
May I let myself clear?
MySQL allows me to:
1.It has <b>unlimited</b> multiuser capability
2.Handle heaps record
3.Fastest to do the job
4.Pretty easy to work with.
5.<b>Free to download from the web</b>

That is right? I cannot believe it. Why such a great thing has been offered free????
Any thoughts about it?

So if I want to develope applications based on MySQL, I have to pay for the lisence.
Is that right????

Over all, if I am right above, I can see why lot of guys keep telling me to go for MySQL.

MySQL is GPL'd so all that means is that it is free to use (basically).
