I have been using Bullet Broof FTP server for quite sometime now, nice and secure. Works well for all client I have tired most important it plays nice with the older Fetch for OS9 a problem I had with a few other FTP servers. I realy like the tracking, statistics and download limit features and created a new user is simple and quick. There is no remote admin features which would be nice how ever. |

I've been using Cute FTP for quite a while with no problems at all. I have also played around with Smart FTP (on a recommendation from mr.maX) and it seems like a great program also. About the only reason I haven't switched is just pure laziness as I'm accusom to Cute and have it configured exactly as I like it. I've tried a few others along the way but like these 2 the best so far. |

Are you sure you're not talking about a client there Butcher, not a server? |

Ok. I've got an FTP server running on the server sharing my DSL connection. I've been using Serv-U for while but it couldn't ( or I didn't find how to ) make some ALIAS through the LAN. So I switched to Bullet Proof FTP and know I have several user accounts pointing to different computers. Voilà. |

InI: I didn't knew about the remote administration feature. Anyway I've got a simple FTP and don't require that. Since you study some FTP servers, you should have a look at their security issues. While looking for Serv-U I've found a lot of links about security flaws. I guess they're now fixed but it seems important enough to be mentionned in your study. |

I used to use bulletproof, and then cuteftp as clients, but found flashFXP to be THE best imo.. but as i said thats as a client, but i'm sure it would be reflected in its usage as a server. |
