Topic awaiting preservation: MySQL with Dreamhost? (Page 1 of 1)

I've noticed a lot of people use Dreamhost here and I've just purchased the Crazy Domain Insane plan.

I'm looking to begin working with PHP and MySQL. I've purchased PHP Essentials, which looks like a good book but I'm confused as to how I can start creating my MySQL tables. Can anyone explain this to me better?

I'd imagine responses would be faster here then asking Dreamhost.

gotta create hostname, database and a user/pass - then wait for it

after it's all active you can access phpMyAdmin from the hostname in your browser, typically http://mysql.mydomain.tld

or you can use your shell access if you like that sort of thing and follow these instructions.

and visit the knowledge base, it's good =)
