I had a question about Java applets in IE. According to the Java tutorials I should use the applet tag, but it's deprecated in HTML 4.0. According to the W3C I should use the ojbect tag. Here's the actual problem. The object tag doesn't have a "code" attribute, but if I use the W3C's version (codetype and classid attributes) it doesn't work in IE. If I use the code attribute anyway it works in IE but not Mozilla, etc. |

has anyone noticed problems with Opera 6 mapping the applet and reporting errors when using the new object and embed tags? |
