We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.

Not bad, I just tried it out. Nothing extraordinary other than it being free, and pretty, and functional. I like it. Some nice features like arrows to show where your brackets start and end and such.

It seems like a good editor for those who are starting out and are not already tied down to an IDE.

I've been usng jEdit now for a couple of years both personally and professionally. I never thought I'd find anything that would make me give up gvim, but it has.
In addition to the standard stuff, the plugins are pretty spiffy.
In addition to the bracket matching, closing tag completion and showing the matching opening and closing tags for html work are very handy.
Highly recommended.

hmm still an UltraEdit fan. But this could catch up. I'm still not a big fan of Java Clients though.

jedit....tried it about 6 months ago and just hated it. But Bluefish is an opensource editor that has almost got me hooked.

I have it on all my Linux boxes at work and on the yellowdog install on my Powerbook. It is a truely fine piece of software, almost good enough to lure me away from my dependence on BBEdit. But old habits die hard......
