We only need one field to separate "players" and "watchers", a field that specifies one of those two words, or a boolean. The other fields are any data we want to collect about the user, e-mail, name, nick, password, number of posts, hobbies, url, etc.. Whatever you want. Having 3 tables, a couple of simple functions to handle the whole thing, and php coders can hapilly connect the backend to the interface. Having 3 tables, with a couple of well defined keys = easy to administrate, easy to search, very fast, easy to use. There you go.
