I keep getting unable to connect to server errors - I've tried all of the servers listed and some different ports from:
http://www.undernet.org/servers.php

but no joy. Any tips?

taxon: Yes I've tried that and the other servers too (I must admit I was relying on the fact that as soon as I post a message saying I have a problem it fixes itself but not this time). I'll give it another go - I'm right to assume that all I need to do is download the applet.

[edit: I'm also wondering if there are setting on the network here that prevent me from connecting for security reasons]

use the url that doc gave you, or you can connect if you have nother method.
I suggest using mirc which can be found at www.mirc.org
check it out and join us in the chat !

I switched all the servers, it might work now. I really just wanted this for "every now and then", it could be handy, I figured.

No joy. No matter I've got stuff to do - I agree with the Doc that it may only be needed sporadically. Pass on anything interesting that comes up.

It used to work for me before you changed the server, but now it says
"no ident response".
Oh well.

Just as a quick update I've tried this from home and after a few attempts (although they failed they go further than before) I got through so there may be a security thing or it may have been bad luck - who knows?

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.
