As I am pretty new to photoshop, it took me a while to get similar to what I wanted, but I think it looks ok.

edit: darkened a bit, and added anti-alias

Seriously, the green one isnt that good, but green COULD work, just in a diffrent shade. The sig, in general, just doesn't seem to be working though because it looks fairly cheaply put together. I realize that your just learning PS (like me), but it looks too bold. Also it isn't anti-aliased. Thats a big turn off for a sig.

It's a nice start though, and the idea has potential.

aaarrgghh! My retinas are burning! My retinas are burning!

whew! Using pure white, and pure red, and pure green on a background of otherwise quite dark shades isn't really the best idea sometimes...you may want to consider changing colours all together in order to save many members from sig-induced blindness.

is this a sig you plan on using here? if so, why then does it matter what ppl on other forums say... really, the only advice you should care about is that of the folk here. seems kinda odd to me to ask for an opinion from one set of ppl on the one hand, and then leave the decision up to, of all things, a vote made by ppl on a... what is that... castle wolfenstein forum?

maybe you should figure out who's advice you're really after before eating up ppl's time with a "i'll ask, but i really dont care what you think" thread.


other than that, i really can't get past your colors... they all clash with this space entirely imo.

The reason I posted on the other forums, is cause I know everyone there, and I don't really know anybody here. I think I will make it darker, which will hopefully fit better. Also, I will add the anti-alias (which I did have but removed(oops))

You know, I must have looked it over 50 times before I realized the red splotches were maple leaves. It is a maple leaf, right?

Yes, darker would be good. Also, red and white, while a good color combination for countries and all, really stresses the old retina on a page with the color scheme of the Asylum.

Other than that, you might want to do something to make the leaves a bit more than the splotches they seem to be right now.

I think that a crimson red and light shade of grey might go good. Maybe focus on one to two maple leaves intead of a whole lot of them?

punchdrunk...despite the way it may have sounded, did you stop to think Dan may have been serious? We do in fact like it when asylum members keep in contact other than through the Digital Domain...

good point Skaarjj, although I am pretty sure that was his sarcastic font. if Skaarjj is right I will place my foot directly into my mouth and go work on my sig. if not then I stand by my reply, and in the future I will think before I type.
