Ok... I'm going for a simple one.
I'm not sure what to do with the empty space beneath
the letters. Any suggestions?

I think the smaller one is definately better.
What to do with the space below ?? I would suggest perhaps a tree line, as the over look kinda resembles the edge of a mountain....

You could even make it look like the letters are melting a small block of ice ??

Well...When you made it smaller you lost the transparency.

I like it. I don't really think that I'd do anything with the empty space, just make the right edge of the shade go horizontal like the rest of the bottom-border and weight the bottom border heavier.

Other than that, I think that I like it. It's a bit simplistic, but im a good sort of way.

No real significance to the space underneath?... in that case i'd just find a more spiffy way to arrange the letters.
Possibly even make the letters smaller than you already have in the second one.
I can't say I really like it...
but I don't mind it.

Eh... I gotta be honest with you... I really don't like the cheese. I would just go with the plain version up top (the smaller one...).

Yup... the txt extension is an old hack to get around the outside web hosting problem... not really a good idea. And it appears that this particular host caught onto it...

Been there, done that, got the tissue ... If you find a host with remote linking or a way to get around that (like with *txt tricks) don't expect it to work longer than 2 or 3 months. You could go and check the sig hosting though.
