Hi all, I'm new here and got a question regarding GIMP if anyone here uses it...

For those of you who know GIMP well...

I am trying to crop out an image of my character on EverQuest and I cannot seem to cut it out...I tried to crop but I want just the character, not any of the background...

I had to convert the image from bmp to a jpeg format to put it up on that webpage.

And yes this is for a sig...

Snookumz: On inserting your sig you will need to first have it on a host that allows external linking of images (most free hosts don't) see here:

you should make the brightness/darkness change a little bit more circular. the center of your brightness is circular but the cutoff is straight diagonal. That probably doesnt make any sense but i hope you understand.

Yes I understand what you mean, basically all I did was gradient it black and white and added the lighting effect...so it has no circular cutoff...I'll see what I can do...

Snookumz: Don't use .bmp files as they aren't really a format designed for the web - use .jpg or .gif instead.

Ok here is my sig in jpg format. The file size is sooo small heh.
