What do you do with a crappy self portrait that doesnt look good at normal size? Shrink it and peel it apart of course!!

EDIT : DAMNIT! How to I get rid of those jaggy white pixels?!? Everything is transparent while I'm in ImageReady, but when I save it I get pixels. Please help!

Cloudman, in the optimised window click the matte colour:-



and change it to RGB 43, 4, 4

Hehe. I never realized that the little orange line is actually a word (pixel fonts these days...)

I'm assuming it says "Cloudman", as that would be the most logical, seeing that it is Cloudman's sig, right?

I had one more frame in there for the closing, but unfortunately that would have pushed my sig over the 30k Asylum sig hosting limit.
On a happier note(for me, at least), I painted everything but the robotic face from scratch, which is awesome for me. The robotic face is a combination of C-3po and the Terminator, the epidimy of robo-opposites.
Oh, and not a pixel font, I find it much more fun to draw pixel by pixel!

I`m sure mahjqa will be along shortly, but the things that catch my eye are :
1) The robotic arms don`t *hang on* to the face parts very well. Seems like there`d be alot of skin tearing there.
2) The halo around the arms. Maybe try (in the original psd) with the arms layer active Go Layer>>Matting>>Defringe by 1 px.

Painting looks pretty good.

Am I the only one that thinks that, before Cloudman's face is opened up, it looks a little bit like David Bowie on the cover of Aladdin Sane (sans lightening face paint, obviously)?

Heh. Actually, it kind of does.


I dunno if I feel like being done with this one or not. There are alot of improvements that can be made. Alot of animation errors as well, but I'm an ImageReady newbie and creating an error filled sig was a daunting task!

I like it. DB has good points, but I don't think either issue is really a big deal.

The overall effect is nice, and the details are pretyy well done =)

On a side note - am I the only one that finds it terribly ironic that Morph made a terribly artifacted jpg out of his screen cap to show how to better optimize a gif?

Cloudeman!!! and you were the one who helped me get my jagged pixels correct. Did you bang your head recently? Amnesia perhaps?!!
