Ever seen these kind of clocks?

Little cards which flip over once per second

nice... but it looks more like a digital clock to me, without all that flipping.

We have these types of clock at al lthe railway stations over here...they're bascially a set of metal cards, hinged at the middle, and each one flips down to reveal it's number...very quickly, but still with a decernable alteration between top and bottom, which is why you can see it in the sig too.

I think the point is, we *can't* see that. It used to be that all the 'digital' clocks were that way, before LED became common.

But no, it just looks like LED at the moment....no movement of plates at all.....

I know what you are talking about, as i have dissected some clocks just like that...

quote:
set of metal cards, hinged at the middle, and each one flips down to reveal it's number

now for the sig...

1 - the numbers don't look like they are on metal flaps... they don't need to look like metal... but it looks like the letters are on a static plastic LED display.
2 - the numbers are not hinged.
3 - I don't see any 3d flipping action, or any distortion. Slowing the flip down a little and adding some flippin action could make it look more real here, even though that is not how it look in real life.

Agreed, its a nice one... At first I thought my PC was just slow. But I have to agree with the flipping action... That could be considerably hard to do. I used to have a clock like that and it had digital numbers painted on the metal flaps. It'd be kinda hard to do if it was curved numbers. None the less interesting.
