I dunno about that. The white isn't so bad. Maybe try making the outer border thinner by one pixel or so to reduce the brightness of it. The white within the image is fine though.

I mean, the colors work with the forum (they don't clash, at least), and it's not a huge banner; it's reasonably sized. What's that diagonal line going through it though?

try fading the image out, and get rif of the ugly line in the middle

well....not its just borderless and without the black line....but please try to fade it out

yeah, there's still that white background which blends into the text...

I think if ya just gave it a 1px white border all would be good.
