Here are a few sigs I have made recently. As I can't use the rotator for a while I thought I'd post them up here for your thoughts/comments
I made this one both static and animated

and this is the one I've been using the most "Taoboogie"

i like the top one dude...that's pretty heavy man!

And pretty stolen, even if altered... Any blizzard images that are used for a fan use must include copyright notices.

Thanks Warmage, I forgot about that. It was supposed to be for a Diablo thing anyhoo so I though people would know that I knew it was a Diablo crest....Er I'm lost now

As I mentioned when I first posted the DiabloSig, I am waiting to take delivery of Diablo2 so while I was waiting I made a Diablo/Tao sig "diabtao.gif". I, in no way, intended to pass it all off as "all my work". It is a crest to denote what type of character class you are in the game, and as such, should not be altered too much anyway.
That's not to say I don't agree with you Warmage, I do, and I thank you for reminding me to checkout the copyright issues of any image I use for anything.
Did you ever have "one of those days"?

Tao...I feel betrayed...I had no idea you ripped that sig...

It's hard to tell....but I have to hope you are joking Boudga.

Tao made it very clear what he did, and it's no big deal.

I reread my post and I think that it came off a bit harsher than it need be, and very misunderstood. I used some very bad diction for that post and it should have been not stealing by "copyright infringement."

You have every right under their license to post the image, but they do not offer the ability to alter an image in any way. That is a bit tricky, and I am not sure how far that one would go. There are many sites that "alter" an image either by scaling it or creating a collage. The derivitive work that your post, that being the orc banner, should in no way incure penalty of copyright infringement. You I am assuming created that image and put your name on it. Spin it however you want that should not be a problem, especially since you made it know where the source was.

The only image I had a problem with was your first one which used the crest, which was easily identified as an altered piece, which was origionally produced by blizzard.

Like DL said it is no "big" deal, but it is a little deal, just be careful, and I appologise for the tone the origional post took, that was not needed.

Boudga, I'm sorry if you feel betrayed by my actions, As I have stated I was making a Diablo2 sig, so I thought it would be understood that it had at least some elements from there. Still, I should have made it clearer.

WarMage, I appreciate your comments, you are quite right to point out the copyright issues. I did not consider any of those things, as far as I was concerned I was making a clan symbol/sig for the game (I have yet to play btw) Diablo2.
To be on the safe side I have scrapped the sig in question. Games and sigs are irrelevent, when it comes to a question of personal integrity. I can live with being known for making crappy half hearted sigs. I would find it hard to be known as a crappy halfhearted person, especially to those here whom I have come to know a little and like a lot.
