I vote for Michael's last released layout that had yellow text instead of the green, so we can get this ball rolling again.

To me it's not a big issue in what the final layout will be - I can hack up and code back together pretty much anything that you throw at me (from an HTML stand point) so it's really up to the content people and graphics people to agree on a final design and then send it my way so I can produce a template for the coders.

Its got my vote too for what its worth, and i would love to see this project come to fruition that emps and myself started rolling along time ago it seems now, so come on guys how about it a lot of hard work has gone into this and there is a lot more to go, so far there has been a lot of good work done bz all involved so lets pick up the pieces and start the ball rolling...

Emps I was really just trying to stir things up again now that the graphics side of things seems to have finally been finalised.

Hopefully things can start to roll again what we really need more than anything is content then the nav side of the graphics can be sorted, as fior the forum graphics are we going to try and match them up with the rest of the site or basically just stick to the same colour theme ?


Anyway it was more of just a curiosity as for a while i couldnt commit as much time as was originally needed but if a hand is needed anywhere lemme know and i will help out as best as i can as my r/l is once again back on track....hehehe bar a few people trying to re-hire me ROFLMAO

I suspect we will need matching graphics in the foum and now we have a colour scheme we can play with the forums settings. We can then sort the buttons out (I've bumped the forum thread so throw you thoughts in there).

Glad to hear things are looking up again - I say charge them some outrageous price and if they don't like it then no loss - if they are desperate then happy days

I'm sure we can find work for idle hands - any speciic area?

well if the content is kinda on back burner maybe ws can fire some over to me take a load of of him with all the crap he has flying his way at work at the moment, otherwise if the nav buttions etc need working on lemme know, maybe it will be best to wait to see what the exact state of play is on everything and then go from there, hopefully people might regain the momentum we lost, considering the amount of interest and enthusiasm that started this idea off and the volunteers we had.... *peers round the corner to see where everyone went to *

I have uploaded a file here: http://www.webwhirlers.com/rr3.zip which contains the file with the Steal Design text in the right font and such, and up in the header.

Shall I go ahead and slice this up for the coders? Or do you prefer to do that yourself? I am sure there are many ways to turn this into a page, and I might not slice it the way you want it?

Looking at that image I would suggest we need to have those horizontal straight line elements in HTML/CSS and that the graphics we will need are:

1. The title graphic (from the top left).

2. The 'steal design' image (from top right).

3. The navigation buttons and their on versions.

4. The 'rr' logo and curved corner.

Does this seem a little too 'harsh' and a too much of a low graphical content approach? Apart from where the word report crosses over the horizontal stripes (which might make transparency difficult) it seems reasonable but I am a coder and a PS/graphics weenie so other people might take a different approach.

Thoughts?

I realize the graphics are pretty much set...
but as a few last decisions are waiting on ZOX's final word... (where ever he is)..

Nice work. I really like the deep yellow text.

Missing people is obviously becoming a problem with this project.

Okay... well.. I'm not going to let this go......
I *still* think we need to do something about the graphics.
We can change the layout around after things go 'live'....... that's what I've been told...
But I don't think the site should go up the way it is now.
I think a half-way point between this.... http://www.whatever.net.au/~cameron/ozone/rrlayout.png and this... http://formclot.net/asylum/rr.gif needs to be found... and we need to press on with it.

Overall I prefer the gif... the smaller 'rr' logo for sure... I like the idea of the bit glitzier 'who we are' from the png...and I think the larger menu bar on the png is more effective in conveying the intent of the site.

I'd also like to suggest that those loveable folks hosting the site pay a visit to the doctor. =)

OK all RR business will now take place at the Ripper Report forums. I'll shut these down and then archive them in a few days so we can refer back to them.

I'd recommend that inmates register over there and give us their thoughts and input.

Thanks to the Doc for allowing us the space to get things rolling
