Make sure you scroll down far enough to see 'Media Centers.' I found a few stories directly related to issues where I live and the articles are <imo> very accurate. I'd be interested in knowing if the same accuracy can be said for issues where you live.

Suho1004: Use their search engine. Use the single word Korea, don't change anything else. Tons of stuff.
There's only a brief comment about Korea on the first hit that appears but what you and others may find interesting is the map of the world. It's one of those satellite shots. Night time showing all the lights. Very big image but just bloody amazing!

The people on that site are clueless. Reminds me of http://www.al-qaeda.com/indexbz.html How sad...

Sorry about the previous link. It seems they change the index every now and then.

Uh...WTF??!!??

Such links are not a very good idea...esp. considering that I also surf at work...that was not nice, Ramsey...

You could get people in trouble with stuff like that...please mark such things in the future...for those wondering...it's definetly a porn-related site...maybe the link should be taken down...

Skaarjj: I say just go in and remove that particular link. When I looked at it yesterday I think I recall seeing something like a 404 or a re-direct, so ramsay *may not* be at fault here.

And btw *everyone* I'm still interested in knowing if events in your part of the world are being given a fair shake on that original link. <bg>

Very accurate. I visit the St. Louis, MO site often. Like anything, anywhere, one must do one's own research and not take anything at face value, but I find this to be an excellent resource.
One of the things I really like about the St. Louis site (I haven't looked at any other regional site to know if this is the norm) is the ability of anybody to write a story and post it. Anybody, right there on the web site.

This leads to a diverse view of the events unfolding, not the distilled view of any journalist.
(Not that journalists are any more or less biased than anybody else...but they, as people, as workers, as employees, as consumers, have biases introduced into their writting. Get enough people involved, all voluntarily telling their view of the same story, without money, deadlines or bosses, a clearer picture is likely to develop...if you have the patience to dig through the crap, that is.)

I recommend this site (and it's related cousins) to anybody interested.

What a load of crap. People actually believe this garbage?! I can't even begin to see how anyone with any brains at all could go for this liberal trash. This stuff is just as bad as any of those tabloids in the supermarket.

But then again, C*****n managed to get himself elected to two terms, so I guess anything is possible. I think I'm gonna be sick just talking about this...

<edit>I love how C*****n gets censored automatcally, lol </edit>

Well, for those who didn't pick up the nature of my post, the articles I went through were quite inaccurate and the little content that was presented was given such a liberal slant, the entire thing seemed to be written as one liberal's opinion (which is exactly what the majority of it was).

BTW, loved the TexasTwisted site Wes Made me remember why I don't mind living here. (Sure as hell isn't because of the lovely weather.)

<edit>Although I must admit, I'm kinda disappointed that the World's Largest Jackrabbit, here in Odessa, isn't on the "8 Wonders of Texas" page.
Just side-note... It's simply the "Marfa Lights," not the "Marfa Mystery Lights."</edit>

Actually, they are the Marfa Mystery Lights, although they're refered to in short as the Mystery Lights. (Note the page title, the road sign pictured on the home page and references throughout the Web site.) They are also called the Ghost Lights of Marfa.

And it's "Texas Twisted," not "TexasTwisted."

I've just checked ramsaydesigns' link and it seems perfectly above board:

quote:
Welcome! This is a MOSTLY UNMODERATED discussion board relating to current world affairs surrounding Islamic Jihad and the US led war on terrorism (plus other conflicts around the globe). Opposing views are represented here due to unique domain mirroring. For instance, alneda.com (the actual domain name once owned by the real Alneda organisation) and nukeafghanistan.com both point to THIS BOARD.

the must have moved quickly to grab that last domain name

Have a look at this article about how al-Qaida are co-ordinating their plans via the Internet (not a big scare story about how the Internet is bad to interesting - that ex-CIA guy said that one of the big problems was the cutting down on the number of Arab speaking members of the security service):
www.guardian.co.uk/Archive/Article/0,4273,4462872,00.html

It is 'Independent Media' not unbiased - by its very nature it is going to cover things that the corporations that own large newspapers and other outlets are not going to bother with or put their own (usually centre-right capitalist) spin on things. Its always good to have a different voice esp. in times like these.

But it's also unhealthy to trust just one source. It's better if you collect and comprehend various views on a subject and piece together your own opinion than if you just blindly believe what anyone says. Know what I mean? By the way, there's nothing incredibly wrong about capitalism.
