I found a couple of interesting links, amoung some apparent thousands of them, and thought I would post this, I found it very interesting. Why had I never heard of this before, that is if it is for real, especially the parts about strange metallic instruments. Hum...

--This is in reference to an underwater pyramid--

quote:
Atlantis- A pyramid explored by Dr Ray Brown on the sea floor off the Bahamas in 1970. Brown was accompanied by 4 divers who also found roads, domes, rectangular buildings, unidentified metallic instruments, and a statue holding a "mysterious" crystal containing miniature pyramids. The metal devices and crystals were taken to Florida for analysis at a university there. What was discovered was that the crystal amplified energy that passed through it.

--This one is also in reference to underwater pyramids--

quote:
Evidence of Atlantis - Researchers with a Canadian exploration company said they filmed over the summer ruins of a possible submerged ``lost city'' off the Guanahacabibes Peninsula on the Caribbean island's western tip. The researchers cautioned that they did not fully understand the nature of their find and planned to return in January for further analysis, the expedition leader said on Thursday.
The explorers said they believed the mysterious structures, discovered at the astounding depth of around 2,100 feet and laid out like an urban area, could have been built at least 6,000 years ago. That would be about 1,500 years earlier than the great Giza pyramids of Egypt.

Have you noticed that anytime you find these types of things, the photos (when there are any at all) are very vague, very closely cropped shots of ambiguous things that really don't say anything at all...

And that the stories always speak of other amazing things that for some unexplained reason were not photographed? And that these stories are never corroborated by any credible source?

Have you ever wondered why........?

Arr... ok... the first article is from a site called www.think-aboutit.com, a site that would have you believe we are all the evolutionary result of an ancient alien race that abandoned its dying planet for earth many many moons ago... yeah, real trust worthy stuff there. The articles on the second site don't appear to have an author and their hosted by some chick that also wants to convince us that aliens are real...

What is it with these people... Do they hate their life so much that they need to wrap themselves up in all these weird crack pot theories?

GN: The evidence seems to be rather excitable interpretations of natual formations - what makes me wonder is why no one has ever included the Giants Causeway in their oddball theories.

Sort the fantastic from that which is evidence - there are some structures of past civilization underwater (this is to be expected). There is also tha tPiri Reis Map (though it is in two parts, ond one part has vanished into the mists of time).

Now, there has been huge amounts of research into the 'fabled' lost Atlantis...with Scientific teams, Archeologists, Geologists, Oceanographers, etc. Here are their findings - first of all, if there was an Atlantis before, why are the languages of the earliest cradles of Mankind so different from one another (one would expect them to be very simular, or identical, because they came from one source)? Second, why wasn't the technology evenly spread throughout the world? Why don't we find horses in South America, domestic animals, etc? Third, why aren't food sources the same? Where are the expected wide-spread of common food sources (Vegetable, meat sources, etc?)

Also, the Pyramids of the various continents after much Archeological study and research, have shown, that they where not 'suddenly' built, as one would expect, if these people had all come from one pre-existing society...but were built over a long period of 'trial-and-error', eventually finding what works - and a Pyramid is one of the easiest forms to build (start with a large base, go to a point).

So, now to the fantastic - where is all this 'factual' information about the Atlanteans coming from? I see no real evidence, or source, for that - in short, it's poppycock!

Second, physical properties of solid-state crystals has been known for a long time - the piezoelectric effect, for example - nothing 'Atlantean' here...in fact, I wonder where the scientific fact is, in the 'descriptions' of how the Atlanteans produced their power...if the Author(s) are so well versed, why don't they produce this, with evidence? Just get some of these crystals, and start producing power...and the reference to the Nazis...that's...insane. Pure and simple. Yes, they were searching along these lines...but they never discovered any 'power'...in fact, they really didn't discover what they wanted to, despite discovering much...

No, because the general media and the general scientific community would never go along with something like this, wheather there was proof or not.

As far as them being from alien sites, yea I know about this to. I just thought I would put something interesting up here. Perhaps the reason no one accepts this stuff is because the government has never come out on it because they fear some sort of panic from the general population. Or a lot of these so called people who supposedly "hate their life so much that they need to wrap themselves up in all these weird crack pot theories" have stumbled across some sort of truth that does not fit into the normal time line that corresponds with normal historical thought and the regular scientists/historians can not believe that all of their so called scientific data can possibly be wrong, so any sort of anomily that goes against their perfect mindset is either a hoax or bad data. So therfore the scientists who come out about these strange anomilies become outcasts. This one mathmatician I know, a friend of my dad's, was ousted from his scientific community because he found all these strange things out about the pyramids, some sort of numbering system based on the size of the blocks and some other strange stuff that had to do with aliens. He is considered crazy now by the scientific community because his theories do not fit in the with the standard/normal ideas of or modern time. It seems that throughout history, whatever is weird or against the general thought patterns at that time, is considered false to the supposedly intellectual scientific community.

Ok......

So...thousands of scientists all over the world have spent decades searchin gfor atlantis, but if it were actually found, it is your assertion that they would not "go along" with it? That they would not jump all over it?

And you're okay with beleiveing the things these people claim to have seen, even though they for some reason were not able to get any convincing photographs? They obviously had cameras...

And you're okay with pure speculation and conjecture with no actual eveidence to support it?

I'm trying not to be offensive, but I have to say I find this manner of thinking truly frightening. I understand *wanting* to beleive such things...but man, try using a little discretion at least...

No,
I'm not saying I believe it. I'm just saying that we are not necessarily being presented with all the facts because these researchers, who at least claim to be doctors: (whether or not they are doctors is really unknown here) but anyway, they are not supported due to thoughts of fraud and erratic data. But I'm just saying that according to them, the reason's I stated above are the reason why no one believes them. I'm just presenting their side of it. I thought all those same things you were talking about when I was reading it--how its probably a bunch of crap, but I am just trying to present an interesting topic to you guys.

DL - This interview talks a bit about what I was saying how people cover things up due to fear, and dismissal, if you want to watch it. It's here. Click where it says Traces Erich von Däniken interview #2:
