Conscription, eh? Well, we have to consider the pros and cons:

Pros

*If your underage, you don't have to fight.
*Lots of money for putting your life on the line.

Cons

*Killing people is bad.
*If you don't want to fight, you shouldn't.
*If you're anti-killing, being conscripted can be very traumatic

Wouldn't conscription, reduce the need to pay troops more then basic living expenses as you would have to serve.
Unlike the professional military where there need to be an incentive to join.

Some other cons for conscription would be:

Reduced troop and civilian moral, expecially during war time.
Increased training cost, as turn over would generally be higher.
Reduce quality of training due to higher turn over, less need for the professional troop.
You can't seperate out objectors, because you can't fairly determine what an objection is. All or none must serve equally.

Pros:

You always have a supply of ready troops
Reduce cost of recruitment (no navy Infomercials)
Reduce cost of bording and living expense
