I've got thei question that's been nagging me for a while now, so, in general terms, here it is. Which would you follow, your dreams or your feelings?

Please, no snide or sarcastic comments...

That's an interesting question, Rauthrin. I'm not entirely sure I really understand the meaning behind the question though... I see following your dreams and following your feelings as being not entirely the same thing. In a moment of making a decision, following your dreams to me implies a long-term connotation, while following your feelings implies a more immediate connotation. I'm not entirely sure I'm making myself clear, but that's kinda the way I see it. So, I guess I'd need a specific circumstance to be able to answer that question.

But as a general answer to your general questions, I try to live my dreams as best I can and follow my feelings where the situation deems it appropriate.

(edit-fixing repeated word...oops)

To answer you completely within the question you ask, I would follow my dreams.

I believe very strongly that we should do what is right regardless of our feelings. So I interpret dreams in your question to mean the plans that I have for my life that I tailor as best I can to God's will. So what exactly do you mean by dreams?

Well.. I was thinking that I should explain it better so it makes a bit more sence... I was asking kinda generally because I didn't know what kind of response I would get, so here goes..

This summer, I've been offered to go to Japan as part of a foregien exchange program, the catch is that I'll have to pay for pretty much all of it... I also have a really good friend in California that is having some pretty hard/depressing times and I'm thinking that I really should go and see her, but it would be a thousand times harder to get there than the exchange trip... I've wanted to go to Japan for years but I'm having second thoughts because of what's happening... So that's my problem, better explained, hope it helps...
