Preserved Topic: DocOzone vs. DL-44 (Page 2 of 2)

Doc - she's going for her 1st belt (high white). She just started about two months ago. 2-3 weeks ago, I signed her up to go to a demonstration that the school was putting on. She was the only white belt that showed up, and so she had to get up in front of everyone and demonstrate her form all by herself (which made her frantically nervous of course, but she did really well). After that, the head instructor had her break a board with a front kick - which she had never done and neither of us knew she was *going* to be doing She is till very excited about that Brought the peices of the board to show and tell at school.
She's only 7, so this is all a pretty big deal to me

Off to the test now, be back later with a return!

Hmm, it's hard to say what could happen with things like this happening through two more rounds, now *I'm* curious how this will all turn out! So we let them see what is not there, but they cross the barrier that is everywhere. The barrier they see but do not touch. The barrier that breaks down into dust...

OK, I looked at the PSD, and realized that I screwed the PSD up, I'm so sorry DL! Yah, looks like when I was flattening layers to make the PSD smaller, I flattened the names onto the reflections of the spheres, hrmph. Upon further reflection, I found that the setting for the distort mask I used were not working quite the same as before, double-hrmph! So, I may have spent more time than I should have re-creating more spheres, I like things that are round, who doesn't? So, your toxicity might be winning a bit right now, but do I smell smoke? And what do we usually find near smoke? Hmm...

Just to be picky... was the perspective lines meant to show through the base of the pillar?

Yep, I intentionally left the perspective lines showing through, there's a blended mask that lets in *just* that much, heh. I toned it down some, maybe I should have left it more obvious, it might've looked more like I intended it, eh? <g> I doubt as many people noticed the base of the pillar that DL left in there, down under the floor, at 15%, it was subtle, I liked it. (Subtle is not my strongest point, as many may have noticed! :-)

Yes, I know how fond you are of round things! Part of the reason I took them out actually...to see what else you would do with them

Ya know, I *almost* went the way of fire instead of cool noxious gasses...but I figured I'd save that aspect for you. I just knew you woudln't be able to resist

I'm at work still, and have a couple of busy nights ahead of me, so it may a couple days before you see a return unfortunately.

Yeppers, I picked up on the fact you were playing me a bit, leaving me my favorite things, and matching them to yours! (I was trying to explain what you had done with the plasma effects, I'm just going to give her the PSD to play with, heh.) I can wait a few days, I have a few tasks that I really should be doing instead, but this has been too much *fun*! I've been saving most of these as 1024x768 desktop images if anyone's interested, I like 'em! I'll keep am eye out for your next move, drop me an ICQ if you think I'll miss it.

Yah, if I hadn't wasted so much time re-creating spheres and reflections (after my bone-headed flattening too far!) I probably would have taken that column shape and warped the floor up and around it, that could've been cool. Maybe next time! (Oh, Insider, please, remember to turn off sigs when you post in this forum, this whole thing is going to be a painful download, any way we look at it!) One fgood thing to learn, which you seem to be paying attention to, is to actually look at things! You'd be surprised how many people don't ever do this, and then they want to create new images, heh. That thing we do is make things that *aren't* real, real, and for this we gotta know what's going on! Good catch.

why is it that we all can't remember the middle verses?

We were already wrned about this, big storkm rolling in, the harvest is coming due, and DL had to take care of a few things. Believe you me, I'm having a *hard* time not just continuing work on this thing, all my favorite elements, ooh!
