Yep, that's definitely a bad boy. Way out of my price range though.

I bet in a year there will be more +10 MPx cams out there and the prices will come down a bit.

guess i will keep my EOS D30 and EOS 300 and my eos 1x-7 for a while yet

Nice camera, too bad I already have Nikon equipment. I love Canon's auto focus system, but i prefer my cameras be made out of metal.

The Canon EOS-1Ds has a magnesium alloy, environmentally sealed body, like the Nikon D1h and D1x.

The 10D (my camera) also has a magnesium alloy body. Feels very solid

The earlier D30 and D60 each had a plastic body on a metal frame. Those are probably the cameras you're thinking of. They came out at a competing price-point to the Nikon D100, which also has a plastic body over a metal frame.
