still figuring out the Nikon D1 at night time

good shots and bad are there... these are the settings i used and equipment

Nikon D1
Nikkor 80-200 F/stop 2.8 lens
Nikon model 28dx flash

shot at 1600 iso
shutter speed 1250 to 1600 in all of them
f/stop 2.8
flash in all (when it would go off .. flash wont cycle quick enough .. any suggestions on better flash or other batteries so it will work quicker?)

only thing done to the images is the bandaide plugin to get rid of the noise that Nikons love to add at high ISO's

I like your lens, I'm looking for one with the VR to go with my Fuji S2. Did you use a tripod? I use a monopod to chase action quickly.

in those shots i did them freehand ... i normally use a monopod .. but havent replaced mine yet since last season (got bent when 2 linebackers tried to take me and a fast back down at the same time) ... heh going to pick on up before the next game tho ...

Don't forget to bill it to the team...equipment damaged on the job due to intervention of your subject, when it's replaced thesubject is liable for the cost.

its only 75$ ... and i am not going to make a high school football team pay that ... if it was a different kind of team i would get them to pay for it ...

oh, just try to ask them if they could pay something...i would do so
