Just like to bitch for a moment about how I hate the weather.

I've been planning a JFK tour for my site for the upcoming 40th anniversary, and lo and behold, it turns nasty this weekend. Which means I'll have to do it after work in the middle of the week, fighting traffic and balancing good-light hours against having to go to bed to get up again at 2:30 a.m. for work.

What really cheesed me is waking up this morning, expecting storm clouds and discovering a gorgeous sunrise and blue skies. I raced to brush my teeth, get dressed and print out some materials -- 15 minutes later, it was completely overcast. Damn tease.

Argh! I hate working with a deadline! And I hate the weather!

I'd be happy to trade with ya Wes. We're having a heat wave here. 40 degrees F and overcast. Weee. Haven't seen any frost in two days now.

Seriously though, I only want your weather from about mid March to early July or so, when I'd wander a bit west for the monsoons in New Mexico and then Arizona. Well, in my perfect world that's what I'd be doing. I love weather in the southwest.

count your blessings, wes.

in my job, i can walk into the office whilst the sun's still creeping it's way over the horizon, and then wander out in the afternoon, completely oblivious to what the weather was like that day.

don't fence me in....

You wanna talk enclosure? I get to work at 3:45 a.m. and work in a windowless, virtually soundproof TV studio and emerge sometime after noon.

Well, of course, I have a meterologist telling me what the weather is like all day, so I guess I do have a connection to the outside.

Anyway, as it turns out -- even though it was supposed to be stormy all day -- I looked up from my computer in the afternoon and saw that a gorgeous day had developed. I finally made my way to Dallas around 4:00 and had about an hour of good light to shoot Dealey Plaza. So, I guess it worked out.
