Hey Doc. I've been reading the old forum still, and there's been a couple posts asking how to do the lighting effects on a channel...I went back to the glass tutorial to check, and you do leave out the fact that you have to return to your RGB channel first. Apparently it is causing some confusion : (<P>------------------ |

Hmmm...he's probably real busy huh? I think it would be awesome if Doc would do a tutorial on his 3D effects with text..... |

I think that drawing his "sword" is considered illegal in most modern countries and can end with a Doc-in-jail...indecent exposure etc. or did i miss something here?<P>Never Pet a Burning Dog |

Heh. I have this 12" dagger I used to wear in my knee-high boots for the local Renaissance Faire where I used to act (I was a peasant, bloody hell! :-) The old visi crowd knows I used to wear it around the office, and sometimes I'd forget and wear it while shopping for coffee. It's a wonder I never ended up in jail, it doesn't really have an edge, but it IS 12" long, not very legal in most states. Certainly not legal in Sweden, they frown on weapons here!<P>The gullwing text is related to the glass text header stuff, I guess I could explain that one a bit. I'm working like mad this week, trying to launch the new simpleworld site, so won't really have any time until later this week, if then. Definitely shoot for this weekend, though, cool?<P>-doc- |

The gullwing text thing would be awesome Doc. The basic concept is currently doing the death thrawls in the old "steel trap" it's the expanded portion around the text, and how "flat" the inner portion of the text appears to be relative to it...so there doesn't "appear" to be the same type of gaussian blurs happening as in the glassie tute...but I digress. |
